A Grommet Eyelet is sometimes referred to as a rolled rim eyelet, and is supplied with a
toothed washer. This makes it ideal for use with tarpaulins and similar materials, where
extra strength is needed. A Sail Eyelet is a good option to reinforce a hole in many different
materials, and is mostly used in lighter duty materials/applications.
On some fabrics it is possible to use a one piece die that incorporates both the cutting and
setting action. However, for the very best results, we always recommend using separate
cutting and setting dies. This always gives the best results across a wider range of fabrics.
